Day 9: 12th July 2008 - Cardiff

A day to relax, explore Cardiff and catch up on a few chores. At last an opportunity to wash clothes and replenish supplies.

This is all actually just one building.

Looking back from Robyn's flat in Cardiff towards the Severn bridge. Oh what a long walk that was yesterday.

Way to go, Josh!! How are your feet feeling? We used to do a 25 mile walk called the miles for millions walk, in Vancouver. That's why I'm asking how your feet are.

Josh,

Hi you are doing great. Sue says you are heading for Pontypridd today - watch out for theose welsh women!!.

When you head north from Abergaveny, try picking up the Offa's Dyke trail, then you will see the ruins of Llanthony Abbey down in the valley to your left as you walk. You can get a good lunch and beer at the Abbey and there are good campsites very nearby. Then you can re-gain the ridge to pass over Waun Fach (highest point on Black Mountains but very boggy!!) to get to the northern ridge Hay Bluff (aka Lord Herefords Knob)overlooking Hay-on-Wye. Watch out for the gliders and microlights using the thermals on the escarpment, before descending to Hay-on-Wye. Only a suggestion, I'm sure you will go where the road takes you.

All the best ,

Neil Linda and Scott.
